A new survey by the Prevent Cancer Foundation found that more than 65% of American men are behind on routine cancer screenings, with almost 1 in 5 not scheduling their own healthcare appointments. According to CEO Jody Hoyos, advocating for health and discussing screenings with healthcare providers is crucial for early detection and better outcomes. The survey also revealed that men would be more likely to prioritize screenings if they were faster or had at-home options available. The foundation provided guidelines for average-risk men for colon, lung, oral, prostate, skin, and testicular cancer screenings, emphasizing the importance of regular check-ups and self-exams.
