Regard secures $61M to research LLMs, expand clinical insights platform

Los Angeles-based clinical decision software company Regard closed a $61 million Series B round led by Oak HC/FT, with Cedars-Sinai Health Ventures and existing investors participating. Regard offers a clinical support tool that uses AI to evaluate patient history, generate clinical decisions, and facilitate communication among clinicians, which can be integrated into providers’ EHR systems. The funds will be used to enhance their AI-powered clinical-insights platform, expand their reach in healthcare, and invest in research on LLMs. Regard previously raised $5 million in seed funding and $15.3 million in a Series A round. They recently partnered with OpenAI to develop new product functionalities and a chatbot named Max.
