NeOnc has developed a non-invasive nasal brain delivery system for brain cancer drugs, bypassing the blood-brain barrier. Dr. Thomas Chen of USC is leading the research, aiming to provide new treatment options for patients frustrated with limited options and invasive procedures. The system utilizes the olfactory nerve to deliver compounds directly to the brain, allowing for at-home treatment and potentially revolutionizing brain cancer treatment. NEO100, the lead drug, has shown promising results in Phase I trials and is now in Phase IIa. With fast-track designation, the treatment could reach patients soon, offering hope and improved outcomes for brain cancer patients.
