An impostor posing as an online therapist, with the help of her wife impersonating her, treated patients for up to two years before being discovered after the wife’s death. Peggy A. Randolph, a licensed social worker, allowed her untrained wife, Tammy G. Heath-Randolph, to conduct therapy sessions in her name. The deception was uncovered by a patient who realized they had been talking to the wrong person. Randolph surrendered her licenses in Florida and Tennessee, leading to the closure of investigations. Brightside Health, the company involved, audited its security, fired Randolph, and reported her to authorities.
