Moon Surgical, a robotics startup, aims to create an efficient, sustainable, and digitized operating room of the future. They recently received FDA clearance for the commercial version of their Maestro surgical robot system, designed to support soft tissue surgical procedures not currently supported by existing telerobotic systems. The compact system can hold and manipulate standard surgical instruments, and includes 5G integration for data transmission and insight generation. Moon Surgical plans to release the Maestro system in the U.S., expanding beyond their current presence in Europe.
