MIT is collaborating with Movano Health to use the Evie Ring to monitor COVID and chronic Lyme disease in their MAESTRO study. This study will analyze 300 adults to identify biomarkers that predict chronic conditions from acute infections. Movano’s Evie Ring collects heart rate, SpO₂, sleep quality, and allows users to track activity and menstrual symptoms. The research aims to understand why some individuals recover quickly while others suffer prolonged effects. Movano recently went public, launching the Evie Ring and securing investments. The company reported a decrease in operating losses and held significant cash reserves at the end of Q4 2023.
