Knownwell, a weight-inclusive primary and metabolic care provider, acquired AI-enabled precision metabolic health management company Alfie Health to enhance its clinical decision support offerings. Alfie’s ObesityRx platform will be integrated into Knownwell’s care model, deepening its value-based care infrastructure. Knownwell offers primary care and metabolic health services both in-person and virtually, with locations in Texas and New England. The acquisition also included the appointment of James Chaukos as COO and John Frager as Chief Growth Officer. This move aligns with Knownwell’s mission to provide best-in-class obesity management, strengthening their high-touch care approach for improved patient results. Alfie had previously raised $2.1 million for its weight loss platform, while Lumen, a metabolism measurement device maker, secured $62 million in Series B funding in 2022.
