Research has shown that violence, including suicide and homicide, peaks during the late night and early morning hours. Factors such as alcohol consumption, mental health challenges, and youth contribute to this increase in violent behavior after midnight. The study highlights the importance of a good night’s sleep in maintaining mental health and preventing violence. Tailored interventions based on individual characteristics are needed to address the negative effects of disrupted sleep on the mind.
