Jeffrey M. Farma, MD, FACS, has been appointed chair of surgery at Fox Chase Cancer Center. In his new role, he will oversee all departmental educational activities, mentoring, and organizing clinical faculty. Farma specializes in treating sarcoma, melanoma/skin cancer, and gastrointestinal cancers using traditional surgery, regional therapies, and minimally invasive techniques. He has been with Fox Chase since 2009, holding various roles within the institution. Fox Chase’s president and CEO, Robert Uzzo, praised Farma’s leadership and expertise, looking forward to his continued contributions to the field of surgery at the Cancer Center.
