An AI patient navigator successfully re-engaged patients in colonoscopy screenings, doubling the completion rate in underserved communities. Colorectal cancer disparities exist among people of color in the United States. A study led by Alyson Moadel found that compared to White individuals, Black people have a higher CRC incidence and mortality rate. The study introduced the MyEleanor AI navigator, which significantly increased completion rates and patient volume. This innovative technology not only offloads healthcare workforce burden but also improves equitable cancer care. Future research will assess its impact on patient navigator burden and satisfaction, as well as its effectiveness in other screening programs.
