Uber Health is introducing Uber Caregiver, a service allowing users to add caregivers to their profile to request rides and deliveries, track services, and pay using health benefits. Caregivers can access the care recipient’s benefits, request and pay for services on their behalf. The service will be available this summer and will provide insights into health benefits like grocery or transportation coverage. Uber plans to partner with Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial plans. The aim is to ease the burden on caregivers, who often face high levels of stress and financial expenses. Additional capabilities, such as ordering groceries and splitting payments, will roll out later this year.
