Novo Nordisk reassures that there will be no shortage of its Wegovy weight-loss drug in Denmark, despite earlier warnings from the Danish Medicines Agency about strained supply of two doses. The agency had predicted shortages of the 1 mg and 0.5 mg injection pens due to high demand. Novo Nordisk stated that all doses of Wegovy are currently available in Denmark and the earlier warnings are no longer relevant. Wegovy is a weekly injection used for weight loss and belongs to a class of drugs originally used to treat type 2 diabetes. Novo Nordisk has been facing supply constraints due to high demand for the drug.
