The rise of AI-powered health tech for managing administrative tasks to identifying targets for drug development, the push towards value-based care adoption, the adoption of telehealth to facilitate access to care, have helped drive investment in healthcare startups. A panel at the MedCity INVEST conference will unpack these and other investment trends as they provide a deeper dive into areas of healthcare that have attracted investment dollars and how they see these trends unfolding in the future.

MedCity INVEST is scheduled to take place at the Ritz Carlton in Chicago May 21-22. Space is limited so register today!

A panel discussion on investment trends, sponsored by TMX Group, which operates the Toronto Stock Exchange, will be moderated by Jack Stockert, managing partner with Health2047. Stockert will use his knowledge of the healthcare industry gained from his training as a physician, a healthcare entrepreneur, and work for the venture studio powered by the American Medical Association to navigate a robust conversation. Additional panelists include:

  • Nancy Sullivan, Illinois Ventures CEO
  • Shawn Ellis, Distributed Ventures co-founder and managing partner
  • Fatima Husain, Mosaic General Partnership co-founder and managing partner
  • George Khalife, Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange vice president of Midwest U.S.

Networking opportunities between startups and investors abound at INVEST. The conference spotlights healthcare startups across health tech, medtech, and biopharma in the Pitch Perfect contest. The event also provides ways for investors to share their investment strategies and make connections with startups that may prove fruitful for both in the course of time.
