Deputy director at CISA, Nitin Natarajan, emphasized the need for healthcare providers to increase their cybersecurity resilience in the face of evolving threats. While HHS has launched a cybersecurity program to support healthcare providers, Natarajan stressed the importance of a comprehensive, all-hands-on-deck approach to cybersecurity. He also highlighted the availability of free cybersecurity tools that providers can utilize. Natarajan advocated for a shift towards a “secure by design” approach in healthcare technology to enhance cybersecurity measures.
