Regular exercise is crucial for good health, and recent research suggests that for individuals struggling with obesity, evening workouts may offer the most benefits in reducing the risk of heart disease and premature death. A study by the University of Sydney found that those who did the majority of their aerobic moderate to vigorous physical activity between 6 p.m. and midnight had the lowest risk of cardiovascular disease-related mortality. The study followed over 30,000 participants for almost 8 years and found that frequent short bursts of physical activity in the evening had greater benefits than overall daily activity levels. This research highlights the importance of timing in physical activity for overall health outcomes.
