A digital media campaign in New York aimed to engage young individuals with early psychosis online, but did not result in significant improvements in treatment initiation or duration of untreated psychosis. The campaign targeted FEP programs and individuals with suspected CHR or psychotic disorders, with 371 individuals proceeding to remote clinical assessment. Despite efforts, there was no significant impact on DUP or number of program referrals. The study highlighted the need for new approaches to overcome help-seeking barriers. Limitations included the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, lack of comprehensive assessments, and potential lack of generalizability. Multiple study authors disclosed affiliations with biotech, pharmaceutical, and/or device companies.
