Chicago-based company Prenosis recently received FDA clearance for its AI-based sepsis detection technology, making it the first of its kind to be approved by the agency. The technology, called ImmunoScore, uses 22 different parameters to assess a hospital patient’s risk of sepsis within 24 hours. Prenosis aims to bring precision medicine to acute care by treating patients based on their individual biology rather than general protocols.
