The United Kingdom has released detailed data on clinical trial registrations, making it the first country to do so. The Health Research Authority shared information on 1,545 trials, showing a 92% registration rate in 2022, an improvement from previous years. Most trials were registered on ClinicalTrials.gov, a U.S. database. This move was applauded by transparency advocates as it provides a comprehensive view of trial registration status on a trial-by-trial basis. The data also revealed that sponsors had informed the HRA about registration for almost all trials, indicating increased compliance with registration requirements.
