AI shows promise in unlocking origins of Parkinson’s disease

New findings suggest that Artificial intelligence (AI) could help in understanding the origins and development of Parkinson’s disease. Preliminary results from a study using the AI software programme, NetraAI, identified markers associated with Parkinson’s disease, particularly related to immune system responses. This research has the potential to improve clinical trials and accelerate the development of therapies for Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions. Additionally, recent studies have highlighted immune cell markers for early Parkinson’s detection, particularly relevant to women. By analyzing immune cells in blood samples, researchers hope to provide more precise and early diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.
