Johns Hopkins is latest US medical school to offer free tuition

admin

Thanks to a $1bn donation from Michael Bloomberg, most medical students at Johns Hopkins University will now receive free tuition and financial support for living expenses. Bloomberg, a politician and philanthropist, previously donated $1.8bn to the university for financial aid to undergraduates. Known for his interests in public health and education, he co-founded Bloomberg LP and served as mayor of New York City. The donation will also benefit nursing, public health, and other graduate students at the university. Beginning this autumn, Johns Hopkins will offer financial aid packages to help reduce the burden of student debt for medical students.
