“Swallow Your Pride” Podcast Interview

Speech pathology colleagues, I’m sure by now you’ve heard of the “Swallow Your Pride” podcast by Theresa Richard, M.A., CCC-SLP, BCS-S. Theresa started this wonderful podcast last year, and it has been such a great free educational tool to help speech pathologists worldwide stay current with evidence-based practices in dysphagia.

Each week Theresa interviews different guest speakers ranging from SLPs who specialize in different niche areas of dysphagia to ENTs and other related specialists. I was honored to have been invited to give a guest talk for the podcast recently where we discussed my practice, FEES swallow studies, treatment of progressive neuromuscular conditions (ALS, muscular dystrophy, etc., and the importance of a multidisciplinary team approach to rehabilitation. Episode 28 aired in Feb. 2018 and is available to be downloaded in iTunes or can be streamed online for free here.
