Researchers from Cambridge University have found that placing physical constraints on an artificially-intelligent system can allow it to develop features similar to those of the human brain. By applying physical constraints to an artificial brain model, the researchers found that it developed certain key characteristics similar to those found in human brains. These findings could shed light on differences in people’s brains and contribute to understanding cognitive or mental health difficulties. Additionally, the research may have implications for the design of more efficient AI systems in situations with physical constraints.
