BMA updates code of conduct for members
The BMA has updated its code of conduct, which fosters a culture that is inclusive of all members.
The code provides guidance on expected behaviour that supports the BMA’s values in the work that it does.
Under the code, it is the responsibility of BMA members to role model and promote positive behaviours. The behaviour principles are to be professional, be accountable, be representative, be kind and respect others.
All association members are required to abide by the code when conducting BMA business, from discussions on list servers to meetings and events.
The BMA aims to encourage open debate and the free exchange of ideas, so that points of view are valued and differences of opinion are respected.
