The entire time I’ve covered AI in health care, companies developing and selling the tech have been pawning off liability for AI-generated errors onto doctors.
For example, care technology company WellSky is careful to make sure it’s “keeping a human in the loop and not developing any unintended consequences around clinical decision support” that the company might “[end] up on the front page of the Wall Street Journal for, quite frankly,” CEO Bill Miller said at last year’s Oracle Health Summit.
