WorkforceExtra 1500 GPs appointed in past six monthsMore than 1500 additional GPs, equating to 851 full time doctors, have been recruited to England’s workforce in the past six months under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme, the government announced. The scheme was opened to doctors last year with an £82m funding allocation to allow primary care networks to hire GPs in 2024-25.
