Uber Health has partnered with Socially Determined to provide supplemental benefits to patients, including transportation, food, and prescription delivery. Uber Health offers non-emergency medical transportation, grocery and prescription delivery, and more than 3,000 healthcare organizations use their platform. Socially Determined provides social risk analytics for healthcare organizations to understand and address social barriers to healthcare access. The partnership aims to support Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and commercially insured patients by identifying barriers to healthcare access and providing necessary services. By working together, the companies hope to create a measurable impact in supporting patients with additional needs beyond just accessing healthcare services. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
