The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) has provided $110 million to 23 awardees focused on women’s health, as announced by First Lady Jill Biden at the HLTH 2024 conference. The funding is part of the Sprint for Women’s Health program and addresses various health issues including cancer, menopause, and cardiovascular conditions. The awardees consist of startups, universities, and global innovators. The recipients were selected based on their innovative approaches to women’s health research. ARPA-H received over 1,700 submissions for funding, with 70% of awardees being women-led.
