The Government has approved a draft legislation banning the sale of disposable vapes, proposed by Health Minister Stephen Donnelly. The new laws include restrictions on the sale of nicotine inhaling e-cigarettes, such as a ban on single-use or disposable vapes. There will also be a limit on flavors in nicotine inhaling products to tobacco, with the possibility of adding new flavors based on evidence. E-cigarette companies will be prohibited from using flavor descriptors and language other than basic flavor names. The enforcement of these regulations aims to reduce the availability and appeal of vaping products among young people.
