3 Summer Dental Don’ts
We have shared so much sunshine-centric dental advice through the years…but we always have more to dish out! Can you even believe it?
So, enjoy the rising temperatures and read up on how to keep your smile healthy— and your teeth intact for the foreseeable future (at least).
1.Don’t Chew On Ice Cubes
Teeth are not tools. We’ll say it again and again. This can lead to chipped, cracked teeth. And who wants to press pause on a vacation to deal with a dental emergency?
2. Don’t Toss Out Your Oral Care Routine
Sure, you’re probably super busy this time of year, but that is no excuse to not practice good dental habits. Brush and floss regularly. Oh and schedule in an appointment with your dentist if you haven’t done so in the last few months; a check-up is always a good call.
3. Don’t Forget To Eat Well
Pile on the veggies at that barbecue. Scale back on the cocktails. Snack on healthy fare. Do all that you can to ensure that your body (and your pearly whites) receive the vitamins, minerals and nutrients they need to flourish. And, of course, keep an eye on your sugar intake.
