And so, another working week will soon draw to a close. Not a moment too soon, yes? This is, you may recall, our treasured signal to daydream about weekend plans. Our agenda is rather low-key. We hope to tend to some chores, hang with Mrs. Pharmalot and our short people, and observe a few more ancient rites. We may even take a nap. And what about you? This continues to be a lovely time of year to spend outdoors, so perhaps a drive to sunny shores or mountain peaks is in order. Conversely, you could stay close to home and curl up with a good book or watch a flick or two on the telly. Or maybe this is simply a good time to reflect on the world. Novartis (NVS) employees are bracing for a fresh wave of significant job cuts as part of a wider restructuring that could see more senior positions moved out of Switzerland, where the drug maker is headquartered, Swissinfo reports. As many as 800 jobs could be on the line between headquarters in Basel and a manufacturing plant in Stein, according  Basler Zeitung. Earlier this month, Novartis disclosed plans to increase profit margins by streamlining its production sites and administration worldwide.
