Author response: Blood pressure from mid- to late life and risk of incident dementia

We appreciate the comments of Lattanzi et al. on our article.1 We agree that further exploration of the relationship between blood pressure measures and dementia is necessary. We also acknowledge that incorporating additional measures such as blood pressure variability over time and pulse pressure and home-based blood pressure monitoring data would offer additional useful insight into this relationship. Additional exploration is ongoing within the Framingham study, and elsewhere, to further delineate these associations.
