Hello!I’m working on a report and I need to explain the concept of microparticle bombardment as a delivery system for CRISPR-cas9. I’ve only found one article so far (https://www.nature.com/articles/ncomms12617#results) which discusses both.
The paper I’m supposed to use as a basis is this one: https://moodle.hochschule-rhein-waal.de/pluginfile.php/302876/mod_resource/content/0/Group%205.pdf – it discusses the use of CRISPR to change the color of the flowers and stems of Morning Glory by targeting the DFR-B gene. It makes no mention of how the mechanism is delivered.
So my question is: what methods are usually used to deliver the mechanism? Does someone have information on what method was used in this case?
Thank you in advance!
EDIT: What does microparticle bombardment have to do with delivering the CRISPR/Cas9 system into the cell?
