Graduating in 5 weeks, looking for career advice!

Hello everyone, Graduating with my BS in biology, I was initially pre-med for my first three years but decided against it and have been intrigued in biotech. I’ve done a year of research in a synthetic chemistry lab, but haven’t learned any of the biological aspect of the lab. My research skills are rather limited as my research wasn’t well structured and I had a tumultuous relationship with my PI. The extent of my knowledge is basic purification techniques and NMR analysis. Would it be more effective to research at my school (unpaid) to get more experience? What are some ways I can get paid experience in industry. Any input is appreciated!
